Update on the Competition in the Market:
The Argentinean Bartlett new crop is present in about every retail shop. Together with some Rocha pears from Portugal. And that is about it for pears!
Political or Economic Issues Impacting Imports, Retail, or Consumer Behavior:
The moment at the political economic scenario is of some tension. As the time to define the candidates for the presidential run is approaching a lot of gossip and talks are happening. The economics is stable and following the international environment, the ex change rate for dollars did reach the lowest rate in many years. There is a perception that the month of February was not the best one in real sales. Some due to Carnival, about 7 to 10 days where people travel and the consumption is secondary. Now the hopes is that the grocery retail will recover.
